Cardio Pulmonary Services ImageCardiac Rehabilitation:

We work with your doctor to develop a personalized plan for you and your family, providing strategies to make lifestyle changes and decrease your risk for future heart events. Participants in our program attend exercise and education classes three times a week. We monitor your heart’s rhythm, blood pressure and heart rate during exercise. Our professionals are trained in cardiac and emergency patient care so you can feel safe.

We want the exercise sessions to help you grow stronger and increase your physical fitness. We use aerobic exercises, stretches and weight training to achieve those goals. We provide resources to help you make dietary changes, lose weight, to quit smoking and manage your stress.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation:

Pulmonary rehabilitation helps patients meet the challenges associated with chronic lung disease such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary fibrosis and others.

Preventive and rehabilitative care for those with lung disease reduces the need for hospitalization and prolongs life. Participants in the program develop personal treatment plans and learn more about the disease process. We will show you how changes in diet, exercise and smoking habits can decrease the impact of the disease and improve quality of life.

During rehabilitation, you receive supervised exercise training, health education and breathing instruction, as well as nutritional counseling and emotional support from respiratory therapists, nutritionists and other professionals. In addition to providing instruction and counseling, we develop specific guidelines for physical activity and monitor your vital signs, symptoms and exercise response.
